Merry Christmas everyone.
I hope that you are celebrating and enjoying the holidays with your family and friends.
My Christmas card for you is a simple and humble one. As I was making this card, I pondered about the story of a little boy born in a manger long ago to Mary and her carpenter husband, Joseph. Such humble beginnings and yet as the story goes, he later became the king of all kings. This was my inspiration today.
This card has no religious greeting on it but I was aiming for a colour fit for a king. Hence, the purple and gold.
Purple has also been chosen as Pantone’s colour for 2018. So there, how timely that I have chosen purple as an inspiration for this card.
I also used the Foxy Friends stamp set. Although not meant for Christmas, it has a pine tree in it that suits this card. I heat-embossed it in gold.
Here’s a list of products I used:
- Elegant Eggplant A4 Card Stock
- Whisper White A4 Card Stcok
- Wisteria Wonder Classic Stampin’ Pad
- Garden Green Classic Stampin’ Pad
- Embossing Powder
- Heat Tool
- VersaMark
- Foxy Friends Photopolymer Stamp Set
I hope that you enjoyed this card inspiration and that you’ll also give it a go.
